This Messaging Policy explains how ADMV Inc. (“Guestlist”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) sends and manages communications via SMS, MMS, and messaging platforms (e.g., WhatsApp) in connection with the Guestlist service (the “Service”). It supplements our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. TYPES OF MESSAGES

Guestlist enables communications between event hosts and their guests. Messages you may receive include:

Transactional Messages

  • Account verification (one-time passcodes)

  • Event invitations and RSVP confirmations

  • Event updates (time, location, logistics)

  • Reminders (e.g., upcoming ceremony or check-in details)

  • Guest check-in confirmations

Informational Messages

  • Updates from event hosts

  • Changes to event details

  • Announcements related to events you are attending

Promotional Messages (where permitted)

  • Product updates or feature announcements from Guestlist

  • Optional marketing communications (only where you have opted in)

2. HOW YOU OPT IN

You may opt in to receive messages through one or more of the following methods:

  • Creating an account and checking an unchecked consent box agreeing to receive messages

  • Entering your phone number during signup and completing verification

  • RSVPing or interacting with an event via a Guestlist-hosted page

  • Providing your phone number directly to an event host who uses Guestlist, where you have given consent to that host

By opting in, you provide prior express written consent to receive messages as described in our Terms.

Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

3. MESSAGE FREQUENCY

Message frequency varies depending on:

  • the number of events you are involved in

  • your interaction with event hosts

  • updates related to those events

You may receive multiple messages per event, particularly close to the event date.

4. FEES AND CHARGES

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Guestlist does not charge for messaging, but you are responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier.

5. OPT-OUT INSTRUCTIONS

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying:

  • STOP to unsubscribe

  • HELP for assistance

After you send STOP:

  • you will receive a one-time confirmation message

  • you will no longer receive SMS messages unless you opt in again

  • information about the Service

7. HOST MESSAGING RESPONSIBILITIES

If you are an event host using Guestlist to send messages, you must:

  • obtain prior express consent from all recipients before messaging them

  • ensure recipients understand they will receive event-related messages

  • maintain records of consent where required

  • honor opt-out requests immediately

You must NOT:

  • use purchased, rented, or scraped phone number lists

  • message individuals who have not consented

  • ignore or override opt-out requests

  • send misleading, abusive, or unlawful messages

You are solely responsible for messages sent to your guests.

Guestlist reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements.

8. HOW WE USE PHONE NUMBERS

Phone numbers collected through the Service are used to:

  • deliver messages described in this Policy

  • facilitate communication between hosts and guests

  • support core functionality (e.g., authentication, notifications)

We do not sell phone numbers to third parties.

9. DATA RETENTION

We retain messaging data as necessary to:

  • provide the Service

  • comply with legal obligations

  • enforce our Terms

We may retain logs of consent and messaging activity for compliance and audit purposes.

10. CARRIER DISCLAIMER

Message delivery is subject to your mobile carrier’s availability and is not guaranteed.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

11. PROHIBITED USE

The Service may not be used for:

  • spam or unsolicited messaging

  • fraudulent or deceptive communications

  • illegal activities

  • harassment or abuse

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination.

Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
