We are Michelle and Federico, a husband-and-wife team who experienced firsthand the challenges of planning a destination wedding. We built Guestlist while planning our own wedding, after seeing how difficult it was to keep everyone informed and connected. Between scattered group chats, constant questions, and last-minute updates, we were spending more time coordinating than actually enjoying the process. And it wasn’t just us, we saw the same thing at every wedding we attended. We wanted something simpler, more organized, and actually enjoyable to use.

We launched Guestlist just in time to use it for our own wedding, and it made a big difference. People were connecting before they even got there, posting when they landed, figuring out rides from the airport, making dinner plans, and asking for local spots to check out. It was nice not having to be the middleman when I was already busy enough.
When the weekend started, it didn’t feel like separate groups anymore, people already recognized names and felt comfortable talking to each other. The dance floor stayed full and most of our guests were still there when the wedding ended at 3:30am. I always thought it sounded a little cheesy when people said their wedding was one of the best nights of their lives, but now I get it. We still go back to our Guestlist page to look through the photos everyone uploaded and read through the conversations from that weekend.
